The ICE Field - availability and bookings

The ICE field is private land. There are no public footpaths, and as such members of the public, including members of ICE, have no automatic right of access except within these guidelines or with the express permission of the ICE committee. Please note the following conditions:

• The field is not to be used for the exercising of dogs (except for members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club who have paid for a pitch in the CL or caravanners participating in officially organised rallies). Dog Waste should be removed by owners and disposed of into the bin provided at the entrance to the field
• There is no right of access into the field from any properties adjoining it, with the exception of the Laughing Fish (see below)
• The area inside the entrance to the field may be used as overflow car parking for the Laughing Fish, but there is to be no overnight parking, and this facility will be restricted or withdrawn in the event of ground conditions becoming unfavourable.
• No materials of any description are to be stored or dumped in the field, except within the containers provided which are for the specific use of village organisations. The area around these containers is to be kept clear and tidy at all times.
• If members of our community wish to use the field for entertainment or other events requests must be made to the ICE committee, who will not withhold permission without giving good reason.
• When permission is granted for activities to take place in the field there are to be no camp fires or disposable barbecues.
• No fireworks are to be discharged within the field except with the explicit permission of ICE.
• As a general rule, where any events involve potential noise nuisance, such as live or recorded music, ICE will not normally give permission for these to start before 10.00 am. or continue after 11.30 pm.
• In addition, any events which are open to the general public involving either the sale or supply of alcohol or the provision of regulated entertainment (live or recorded music or the performance of plays, etc.) will require a Temporary Event Notice from Wealden District Council.
• Following agreed village events all materials left over must be removed within a reasonable period of time, which will be agreed with the event holder.
• Requests from outside our community for use of the field will be considered by the ICE committee who may at their          discretion allow its use – e.g. for Caravan Rallies or Camping - subject to accepted rules requiring the restriction of noise and the removal of waste.
• For all events and rallies held within the field ICE will require a copy of a Certificate of Insurance confirming that appropriate Public Liability Insurance is in place
